Best Star Wars movie I've ever seen,I've seen all the shows and movies and I like how this movie combines a lot of original characters from the first released movies. Palpatine is great in this movie. There is no story. That´s the heartbreaking fact about Disney Star-wars. You will not care about any of these characters because they are one dimensional and never feel like real people. There is never any character built up, no coherent arc.
I´m not a writer, but I simple can´t understand how that can be missing in a whole trilogy. They try their best to use the old characters to lend the new ones some weight and in doing so are sacrificed on the alter of blandness. The attempt to use old footage of Carrie Fisher was sadly comical and thus horrendously tragic and left a bad taste in my mouth.
The so called story has a million plot holes, endless/useless side quests, non threatening bad guys, using the force at every opportunity as a gimmick or to tie together bad writing and the list goes on forever. There is not a thought anywhere, nothing makes any sense. Things that need to happen just happen with out any suspense or build up.
The packaging is sparkly, best CGI money can buy (expect in that scene where Leia and Luke are "training. weightless action non stop and nostalgic atmosphere.
For many that is enough to meet their expectations.
Thus ends one of movie history's greatest saga, The Skywalker saga, like a mediocre, lens flair Transformers movie.

A magical ending to the best of stories. br> Thanks Mr Lucas. The movie is much worse than the force awakens and even more than the last jedi. Please for the love of god dont spend your money in this unless you're forced to. It's not good.
